While much of any law student's time is (and should be) occupied by attending classes and studying, Tulane law students quickly realize that the Law School is a place where things are always happening, both inside and outside the classroom.  The organizations listed below were started and are maintained by students, under the auspices of the Student Bar Association, our student body government.

Civil Law Society

The Civil Law Society was founded in 2005. We are a student organization composed of Tulane law students who intend to build careers in Louisiana–the only of the 50 states with a civil law tradition. Our annual activities include networking activities with local firms; our Attorney Mentor Program (AMP), which matches students with local practitioners; speaking engagements related to legal practice in Louisiana; and other career-oriented events.  In 2008-09, about 100 Tulane Law students became dues-paying members.
