The library has four professional law librarians who help researchers locate appropriate information sources. Every reference librarian in this department has a J.D., a master's degree in library and information science, or both. Although the primary mission of the Law Library is to support the curricular, scholarship and research needs of Tulane Law School students and faculty, the library also provides legal materials and limited reference assistance for the faculty, staff and students of the University as a whole and for the local bar and general public.
The Reference Desk schedule varies according to the law school’s academic calendar, but reference librarians are generally available:
