Tulane Law Review

The Tulane Law Review, founded in 1916 as the Southern Law Quarterly, is published six times annually and is a student-run, student-edited legal periodical. The Law Review has a significant international circulation and is one of few American law reviews on the select list of minimum holdings for law libraries in the United Kingdom.

Volume 84 of the Tulane Law Review is now open for submissions.

Thank you for your interest in the Tulane Law Review.  The new board of editors is currently reviewing submissions for Volume 84.

For our masthead topics - the civil law, comparative law, and admiralty - the Review is recognized as a preeminent student-edited forum for scholarly publication. We are #1 in citations by courts and #2 in citations by other journals for comparative law. The Review is also #1 in citations by both courts and other journals for admiralty. We are the leading domestic student-edited voice on the civil law. We are on a select list of minimum holdings for courts and law libraries in the United Kingdom and have a wide European readership.

The reputation of our generalist scholarship is similar. The Review is ranked #27 among journals in citations by courts and #36 among journals in citations by other journals. These rankings translate into the top 4% for journals with at least one citation by a court and top 6% for journals with at least one citation by other journals.

Please review our formatting guidelines before submitting your piece.  We prefer articles less than 25,000 words, in accordance with the Harvard Law Review's Joint Statement on article length.
