Biography:
Professor Lunney joined the Law School faculty in 1991 after clerking for Judge John Minor Wisdom on the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His undergraduate degree was in petroleum engineering, and he worked as an engineer prior to attending law school. While in law school, he was articles editor of the Stanford Law Review. Professor Lunney has published articles on the just compensation requirement of the Fifth Amendment and on a variety of intellectual property issues. He was named a recipient of the Sumter Marks Award in 2000 and again in 2002, in recognition of his strong research record. Professor Lunney's productivity as a scholar also resulted in his being named C. J. Morrow Research Professor of Law for the 2001-02 academic year. Professor Lunney teaches courses in contracts and intellectual property.
