Biography:
Professor Couch clerked on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, practiced law in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was an instructor at the University of Michigan Law School before coming to Tulane. His teaching encompasses conflict of laws, domestic relations, and torts. He is the author of A History of the Fifth Circuit 1891-1981. Professor Couch served as acting dean on two occasions during the period from 1984 through 1986.
