Biography:
Professor Carriere graduated first in her class from Tulane, then clerked for United States District Judge Marcel Livaudais Jr. in the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans. Professor Carriere teaches courses in civil law property, family law, and trusts and estates, as well as a seminar in law and literature. Her PhD is in English literature. She has been a Woodrow Wilson fellow and is a member of the Louisiana Bar Advisory Committee, the Society for Louisiana Civil Law Scholars, and the family law committee and the Council of the Louisiana Law Institute. She has published articles in the areas of family law, civil law persons, and law and film.
