Estalyn Marquis joined the Law School in 2017 after serving as a judicial law clerk to Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Prof. Marquis is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she served as an editor of the California Law Review. Her recent article, “Nothing Less than the Dignity of Man: Women Prisoners, Reproductive Health, and Unequal Access to Justice under the Eighth Amendment,” will be published in the California Law Review.

Prof. Marquis received her undergraduate degree from Williams College, and a master’s degree from Columbia University. Prior to law school, she taught in New Orleans public schools as a member of Teach for America.
