Biography:
Ms. Hainkel's practice includes all aspects of corporate litigation, focusing primarily on energy litigation. She has extensive experience litigating energy matters, including the defense of improper royalty payment claims, breach of joint operating agreement claims, breach of gas purchase contract claims, claims arising out of oil and gas asset purchases, protection of geological and geophysical trade secrets, oil and gas property restoration claims, and claims under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act and the Administrative Procedure Act against the offshore deepwater drilling moratorium. Since 2008, Ms. Hainkel has taught the Oil & Gas Law course at Tulane University Law School as an adjunct faculty member. She received her JD from Tulane in 1992, magna cum laude, and is licensed to practice in Louisiana and New York.
