This scholarship is part of The Richard Linn American Inn of Court's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers of high ethics, civility and professionalism, and especially those from diverse backgrounds. The Mark T. Banner $5,000 Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a career in intellectual property law. Criteria: academic merit, written and oral communication skills, leadership qualities, and member of historically under represented group in IP law (race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation and disability.)
The Linn Inn Mark T. Banner Scholarship was created and awarded for the first time in 2010 in the name of the late Mark T. Banner, a former Linn Inn founder and Master, a leader in the field of patent law in his own right, and the son of former Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks Donald W. Banner. The Linn Inn Mark T. Banner Scholarship is part of the Linn Inn's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers with commitment to ethics, professionalism, and civility.
