Richard Linn American Inn of Court
This scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in a JD program at an ABA accredited law school at the time of applying for the scholarship, and who will continue to be enrolled through the fall semester 2012. An ability to demonstrate commitment to the pursuit of a career in intellectual property law is an essential requirement. The applicant must have exemplary writing and oral communication skills. Diversity is considered, but is also one element among several in the award decision.
The Linn Inn Mark T. Banner Scholarship was created and awarded for the first time in 2010 in the name of the late Mark T. Banner, a former Linn Inn founder and Master, a leader in the field of patent law in his own right, and the son of former Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks Donald W. Banner. The Linn Inn Mark T. Banner Scholarship is part of the Linn Inn's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers with commitment to ethics, professionalism, and civility.
