All candidates for admission must hold or be in the process of completing a JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree.
Candidates are encouraged to subscribe to the Credential Assembly Service (CAS) of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and apply using the LSAC’s electronic application service. The Tulane application fee is automatically waived for LLM applicants who apply electronically through the LSAC.
If your law degree was earned from an institution outside of the United States, you may purchase the LSAC’s Document Assembly Service. Through the Document Assembly Service, the LSAC will compile and send to participating law schools your:
- Letters of recommendation
- English proficiency scores (if applicable)
- Electronic applications
In addition to the LSAC Document Assembly Service, international applicants are encouraged to purchase the International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service which includes evaluation and authentication of transcripts/mark sheets, copies of degree/diplomas, degree and graduation certificates, and rank statements.
An English translation is required for all transcripts, mark sheets, and related education records for education completed outside of the United States.
Candidates who earned the JD from a law school in the United States need only purchase the Document Assembly Service.
