Joel Wm. Friedman

Professor Friedman's undergraduate degree is from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He teaches in the areas of employment discrimination law, labor law, mediation, and civil procedure.  He is the author of Friedman's The Law of Employment Discrimination; Employment Discrimination: Examples & Explanations; co-author of The Law of Civil Procedure: Cases and Materials; and editor of Employment Discrimination Stories.  He has also published law review articles in the fields of employment discrimination and labor law.  In addition, Professor Friedman has served as a consultant to the Louisiana legislature on equal employment opportunity, child abuse, and gender-neutral insurance rating.  He is an expert in computer-assisted legal instruction who has lectured throughout the country on how law schools can integrate developing technologies into legal education.  Professor Friedman is a past recipient of the Felix Frankfurter Teaching Award, conferred each year by the graduating class. His biography of the late Judge John Minor Wisdom, Champion of Civil Rights, was published by LSU Press in January, 2009.

Professor Huo serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Private International Law at CUPL and he is a member of the Centre for Private International Law at the Law School of the University of Aberdeen (UK), and of the China Law Society and the China Society of Private International Law. He was a visiting Professor at the Seoul National University, Korea and at the Minnesota University School of Law. His main area of research and teaching in Private International Law, comparative law and international culture property law.

Kong

Kong Quingjiang

Professor Kong serves as Vice Dean of the School of International Law at China University of Political Science and Law; also serves as Editorial of Frontiers of Law in China, published by the Higher Education Press & Springe and is the Executive Director, China Society of International Economic Law. Professor Kong also served at the Bureau of Justice, the Government of Zhejiang Province. His main areas of teaching and research are the fields of international economic law and business law. He has published books, book chapters and journal articles in both English and Chinese.

Li Juquian

Li Juquian

Professor Li serves as Director of Public International Law Research Institute of School of International Law, CUPL; also serves as Associate Director of International Law Center of CUPL; and is the Associate Director of Air and Space Law Center of CUPL. Professor Li is a Council‐Member of the World Economic Forum Space Security Council and a Standing Council‐Member of the China Space Law Institute and the Beijing International Law Association. His main areas of teaching and research are public international law and international economic law. He has published books, book chapters and journal articles in both English and Chinese.

Mo

Mo Shijian

Professor Mo is the Doctoral supervisor of the China University of Political Science of International Law at CUPL; he also serves as Director of the research center of trade relief. Professor Mo is affiliated to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and the Shenzhen, Qingdao, Dalian Arbitration Commission, and is the Director of the Chinese Society of International Economic Law, Private International Law. His main areas of teaching and research are International Economic Law, International Commercial Law, WTO Law, Arbitration Law, Maritime Law.

Qin Huaping

Qin Huaping is a lecturer and researcher of the Institute of Air and Space Law, CUPL. She is also the Director of Overseas Development Office of Faculty of International Law, CUPL. She was a visiting lecturer at the Law School of Hong Kong City University, teaching Introduction to Chinese Legal System; and was a faculty member of one of the Law School of Montreal University’s summer programs.

Zhu

Zhu Lijiang

Professor Zhu is the Editor for the China Journal of International Law, Oxford University Press. He has been a visiting scholar at Seoul National University and has extensively published in books and journal articles in English and Chinese. His main area of expertise is international law.

Professor Chen has been a visiting scholar at the Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Germany) and other foreign law schools. Professor Chen’s main teaching and research areas include international economic law, international trade law, and international commercial arbitration.

Professor Gao has been a visiting scholar at University of Ghant (Belgium), University of Michigan, Harvard Law School, Case Western Reserve University (US), Lapland University, and East Finland University (Finland). Her main teaching and research areas include comparative civil and commercial law, business law, trust law, and international financial law.

Professor Sun has been a visiting scholar at University of Wisconsin (US) and University of Glamorgan (UK). Professor Sun is a former judge and Vice President of the High People’s Court of Jiangsu Province. Professor Sun's main teaching and research areas include international trade law, international investment law, and private international law.

Wang Wei
