Enrollment and Housing
A maximum of sixty registrants will be accepted for our 2013 program, including non-U.S. registrants. This is the inaugural year for the summer program, although Tulane has had a partnership with Fudan University Law School since 2008. JD students, international students, and practicing attorneys are encouraged to attend this unique program.
Although Fudan University has access for disabled individuals, CUPL’s buildings may pose accessibility problems for registrants with disabilities.
Beijing: China University of Political Science & Law
Registrants will be offered housing in a three star hotel that is within easy walking distance of the CUPL campus. The room and board fee is projected to be $850. This fee will include lodging in a double room, two meals per day for 14 days, plus attendance at 2 banquets. Single rooms, including two meals per day for 14 days, plus attendance at 2 banquets are projected to be $1375. The exact housing amount will be determined after January, 2013, on the basis of prevailing economic conditions and the exchange rates. Although all registrants are strongly encouraged to stay at the hotel, due to difficulty in navigating Beijing, it is not mandatory. Any registrant who chooses not to stay at the hotel can select the lunch option for $300.
Shanghai: Fudan University
Registrants will be offered housing in a guest house run by Fudan University. As the guest house is about five (5) miles from the Fudan Law School campus, the registrant’s fee will also include private bus transportation each morning to the school and then returning from the school to the guest house when there is no afternoon activity. Transportation also will be provided for all afternoon activities. The cost of housing at the guest house is projected to be $600 per student, in a double room, including breakfast, for fourteen nights or about $1000 for fourteen nights for a single room. The exact housing amount will be determined after January, 2013, on the basis of prevailing economic conditions and the exchange rates.
