The Times Picayune - David Boies, the New York City lawyer who represented Al Gore in the Florida ballot battle after the 2000 presidential election, has given $1.5 million to Tulane Law School to establish an academic chair. "Needless to say, we are absolutely thrilled," Dean Lawrence Ponoroff said, "because it comes at such a crucial juncture for us and represents a huge vote of confidence in the institution and an affirmation that we're not just back but that we're better and stronger than ever."
