Law Prof. Tetlow Becomes First Woman to Lead Loyola University

May 19, 2018

Prof. Tania Tetlow, Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff to Tulane President Michael Fitts and the former director of the law school's Domestic Violence Clinic, has been named the next President of Loyola University.

Tetlow is the first woman and first lay person to lead the 114-year-old university.

Since joining Tulane as a law professor in 2005, Tetlow helped build the Domestic Violence Clinic into a national model of high impact in education and service to the community.

As Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff to Tulane President Michael Fitts since 2015, she’s led a host of the University’s most important and sensitive initiatives, including those relating to racial inclusion and gender violence and equity, with impressive skill, judgment, and collaboration.

More details on the appointment can be found here.
