Griffin to talk balance of powers in D.C.

July 17, 2013

Tulane Law School Professor Stephen Griffin is set to discuss war powers during a seminar on “Congress & the President at War: Checks of Imbalance?” Aug. 1, 9-10:30 a.m., at The Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C.
 
The event is sponsored by The Wilson Center and the National Capital Area Political Science Association.
 
The keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.
 
Griffin, whose book Long Wars & the Constitution was published recently by Harvard University Press, will serve on a panel with Elisabeth Bumiller, deputy Washington bureau chief for The New York Times.
