Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s visit as part of Tulane Law School’s relaunch of its Institute for European Legal Studies in Paris is being celebrated with two receptions, on July 11 and 12.
Ginsburg, who observes her 20th anniversary on the U.S. Supreme Court in August, is scheduled to lecture at the summer institute between July 9 and 12.
The Paris office of White & Case is hosting a reception for Tulane Law School students and alumni in honor of Justice Ginsburg at 6 p.m. July 11 at 19, Place Vendôme.
A separate reception is set to follow Justice Ginsburg’s July 12 lecture on Women’s Advancement in the Legal Profession and a panel discussion featuring Mme. Noelle Lenoir, former French government minister and Conseillerof the French Constitutional Court; Judge Margaret McKeown, 9th U.S. Court of Appeals; and Professor Jane C. Ginsburg of Columbia Law School. Tulane Law School Dean David Meyer and Professor Vernon Palmer of Tulane Law School will moderate the panel.
That event starts at 4 p.m., with the reception to follow, at the University of Paris-Dauphine, Salle Raymond Aron, Place Maréchal de Lattre, 16th Arrondissement.
