The names "Nagin" and "Landrieu" are still on the minds of New Orleanians after the recent mayoral election, but the name "DePetrillo" does not ring with the same familiarity. Michael DePetrillo, however, was recently elected to a national office and is in the position to help the city in its recovery.
DePetrillo, a second-year student at Tulane Law School, was elected to serve as the next chair of the American Bar Association Law Student Division. As chair, DePetrillo will lead the student division and serve as a spokesperson for the nation's more than 50,000 law students. When he takes office in August, however, DePetrillo says he won't lose sight of the issues playing out close to home...
