Professor Hubert Isak of the University of Graz, Austria will speak at Tulane Law School on The European Union's External Relations After Lisbon. Professor Isak has served as the director of the Institute for European Law at the University of Graz since 2003. His previous experience includes the Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs and service as a member of the Austrian delegation at the United Nations Conference on the Right of Treaties Between States and International Organizations and Between International Organizations. He is a member of the Advisory Board for European Law at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs. His research focuses on institutional and constitutional issues of the European Union.
Professor Isak's visit is hosted by the Eason Weinmann Center for International and Comparative Law at Tulane Law School and by Tulane's Eberhard Deutsch Professor of Public International Law, Günther Handl, himself a graduate of the University of Graz.
