Professor H. Patrick Glenn will deliver this year’s Eason Weinmann Lecture at Tulane University Law School, entitled, “The Common Laws of Europe and Louisiana. He is the Peter M. Laing professor of law at McGill University, where he has taught since 1971. A graduate of the University of British Columbia and Queen’s Harvard and Strasbourg, Professor Glenn has lectured widely abroad and is a titular member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the Institute of Comparative Law from McGill University.
Professor Glenn has published 130 books, articles and commentaries in the fields of comparative law, private international law and civil procedure. His book, Legal Traditions of the World (Oxford University Press, 2000) received the grand prize of the International Academy of Comparative Law.
