The Associated Press looked to Tulane University Law Professor Keith Werhan to analyze a United States Supreme Court opinion that refused to extend the Constitution's free speech protection to a police officer who used the Internet to sell videotapes of himself stripping off his uniform and pretending to write tickets.
"It's unanimous, a signal that the court thought it was a constitutional no-brainer," Werhan said. "This has an important meanting, but I don't think the court is retreating on First Amendment protection in a serious way."
