Visiting Professor from Chuo University, Japan

March 02, 2010

Professor Hitoshi Ushijima of Chuo University in Japan has arrived at Tulane to teach a three-week mini-course to second- and third-year JD students and to students pursuing the LLM.  Professor Ushijima's course is entitled "Comparative Environmental Law and Regulation."  Professor Ushijima received his LLB from Chuo University, followed by his LLM from Hiroshima University and a second LLM from the University of Wisconsin.  He has served on the faculty of Fukuoka University in Japan and joined the Faculty of Law at Chuo in 2005.  At Chuo, Professor Ushijima teaches Administrative Law, Environmental Law and Policy, and Local Government Law.
