Tulane's Maritime Law Center welcomes Professor Pierre-Jean Bordahandy of the University of South Australia. Professor Bordahandy will be conducting research at Tulane Law School until March 25th. Previously, he taught at the University of Hong Kong.
While all maritime lawyers are internationalists to some extent, Professor Bordahandy is an unusual example of the phenomenon. He has an undergraduate degree in law from the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour in France, an LL.M. in Maritime Law from the University of Stockholm in Sweden, and a Ph.D. awarded jointly under a cotutelle arrangement by the University of Queensland in Australia and the University of Aix-Marseille in France. He also holds a diploma of Spanish law from the University of Zaragoza in Spain and a Diploma in Comparative Law from the University of Aix-en-Provence in France. Professor Bordahandy's area of research while at Tulane is container demurrage.
