Life after Law School

Unrestricted contributions to the Tulane Law Fund go to work immediately, to fund anything at the law School that does not have a dedicated endowment.  The Tulane Law Fund helps to sustain all of the programs of the Law School.

Tulane Law Fund - Unrestricted Giving

SECURE ON-LINE GIVING FORM

After Hurricane Katrina, the Tulane Law Annual Fund was suspended, and all unrestricted contributions to the University were allocated to the Katrina Rebuilding Fund in order to assist in covering the catastrophic losses we suffered in the storm.  This was an appropriate response and one that, during this time, was beneficial to the Law School.  However, as of the beginning of our current fiscal year, July 1, 2007, the Annual Fund has been restored under a new name, the Tulane Law Fund.  Every dollar contributed to the TLF will roll into the Law School’s budget to provide critical operating resources to support every aspect of our instructional program.  This includes student scholarship awards, faculty research, and the ability to support innovative new teaching technologies.

I invite you to join us in carrying out our mission of research, public service, and providing the highest quality legal education by making a contribution to the TLF.  While contributions of $1,500 and above will qualify donors for membership in our Fellows recognition program, I assure you that every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference.  The TLF is not simply about the dollars that allow us to enhance the quality of our students’ educational experience; it’s also about participation.  I encourage you to become involved with and stay connected to Tulane Law School by supporting the TLF, and I deeply appreciate the vote of confidence in the Law School that your gift represents.

More information about the TLF, and how to make matching gifts or use donor-advised funds, can be obtained from Andy Romero, Tulane Law Director of Development, at 504.862.8559.  To make a gift to the TLF, you can send your check, payable to the Tulane Law Fund, directly to Andy, or you can make a gift on-line by going to our secure on-line giving form and checking the box for the Tulane Law Fund.

Yours sincerely,

Lawrence Ponoroff
Dean of the Law School
Mitchell Franklin Professor of Private & Commercial Law
