Students maximize their opportunities by meeting with any (or multiple) of the five career counselors at the CDO. Each career counselor possesses individual expertise in legal practice settings, e.g., environmental, international, public interest. Each day that school is in session, a Career Counselor is available from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - without an appointment - to meet briefly with students and to respond to quick questions.
CDO Library and Resource Center
The CDO library contains a significant number of print publications and periodicals related to the job search, practice areas, and legal industry market trends. Students may review and utilize these materials Monday through Friday during CDO business hours. In addition, the CDO Resource Center is equipped with computer stations that allow student access to on-line job sites, as well as printing, photocopying, and facsimile services. The CDO also provides on-site interviewing facilities, including telephone and videoconferencing equipment.
Every month, CDO sponsors programs, panels, receptions, and workshops on topics ranging from practice areas to job search skills.
