| Course Description | | | The subject of this seminar is commercial fraud. The goal is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of what parties should consider, what they should anticipate, and how they might respond in litigating and arbitrating commercial fraud cases. The topics to be covered include (1) the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, (2) the federal securities laws, and (3) various state law claims. Class will focus on the problems confronted daily by the practicing attorney. This course is jointly taught by practicing attorneys, Stephen Kupperman and George Freeman.
