| Course Description | | | This course explores the history, theory, and doctrine of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. Time permitting, the course will cover additional topics concerning the relationship between the Constitution and religion, such as the religious dimension of American constitutionalism, the concept of American Civil Religion, and the relationship between religion and politics. (3 credits)
